Isabella is a deaf frenchie- a small bulldog with a tendency to want to speak french. She was born deaf, I am told because of her coloring - which is called PIE- as in white with black spots, markings. And Darshan is a tuxedo cat, black with white paws and chest and tummy; well, till he licked that away lately. But, I think it's growing back. These two live with me, Olga and my 87 year old mother, Jimi, who has a black and white bedroom.
So, which came first the black and white 'pets' or the black and white bedroom?
The Bedroom. And often, they get lost in that bedroom; the 'pets'. Darshan becomes invisible on the black carpet and Isabella becomes visible, especially after she exits the room, leaving behind hundreds of her tiny white hairs. Which also coat the inside of my Honda Fit.
Jimi, my mom, is getting a frenchie at Xmas time. Please dont' let my siblings know this; they already know she overspends and their inheritance is dwindling as she shops. Retail therapy is her MO lately, since Dad crossed over into Spirit, May 22nd. He was born in 1922. and when he was on a trip to Switzerland to see Billie Meier, the one armed farmer having contact with the Pleidians for over 30 years, he seemed to be standing in front of signs during the entire trip that had the number 22 on them. My niece, Sabrina who travelled with Poppyy (Dad's nickname) shoed me the picture photo book she'd collected and there they were- each picture when there was a numbered street, or numbered sign , all contained 22.
A frenchie costs money. Costs money to create and so, to adopt. I know puppy mills are nasty and run by nasty stupid people, but breeders who love their breed of dog are just a whole different kind of person than puppy mill folks. Good breeders love dogs more than people, they idetify with a breed for some mysterious reason- often, I believe, from a past lifetime, or because they look like that breed this lifetime. No matter, a good breeder is a great parent. Usually an alpha person who handles dogs beautifully, understands them and loves them so much they are treated like royalty.
Have I exaggerated? I think so, but, I do think breeders need more respect these days cause without them, wouldn't all dogs just be a type of wolf? And personally, I love the variety. all of the little ones, especially, cause I'm a little person and not very alpha.
Well, this is kind of addictive, isn't it? Just writing.
